The Shetland Superb mattress is generously upholstered in pure hand teased real Shetland wool with softly needled British fleece wool. A covering of worsted wool fabric and woolen tufts finishes the mattress.

The copious volumes of fine cotton, pure lambswool and long-stranded horsehair (not to mention cashmere, mohair and silk in their finest beds) are all of the highest quality they can find. And every Vi-Spring bed is as close to completely natural as they can make it. It’s the only way to make a bed that breathes as a bed should.

Upholstered with 2.0 oz/ft2 (600gsm) softly needled British fleece wool, then 3.1 oz/ft2 (950gsm) hand teased real Shetland fleece wool, overlaid with 2.0 oz/ft2 (600gsm) of British fleece wool. Covered with your choice of fine worsted wool upholstery fabric from the Vi-Spring collection. Hand tufted with hand tied woolen tufts and twine.

The Shetland Superb mattress partners with the Sovereign Box Spring or Divan.

Sovereign base construction

1,728* hand nested calico pocketed springs on a screwed and glued solid timber frame. The divan frame is covered with insulating wadding, and the ticking case is calico lined for added protection.
